August 2, 2022 - Club Meeting, Goals for 2022-23
Club President Joe Reynolds, PDG
President Joe is the sole founding member of the club still active in Rotary and we are so lucky that he agreed to the office for the second time. He served as District Governor in 2011-12.
Rotary asks every club to set annual goals ranging from membership to project work to Rotary Foundation giving and Joe will present his suggested goals for the club's discussion and approval.
August 9, 2022 - The Vocational Independence Program

The program, which has served members of our community for more than 70 years, focuses on helping people with disabilities learn the skills necessary to gain and retain employment. The program trains clients, helps with placement and follows up with onsite job coaching. 
The program also provides many additional services, which Director Rene will discuss in her presentation.
August 16, 2022 -  Polio Outbreak in New York

Last month the CDC announced a confirmed case of polio in a young adult male in New York. Since then, the virus has been detected in the New York City waste water system. What does this mean, what can be done? Dennis will report on this still developing story.  (The previously announced speaker has been rescheduled to a future date.)
August 23, 2022 - Medstar Ambulance

Medstar is a Michigan nonprofit with the role of providing emergency services to over one million people in it's coverage area. Currently Medstar provides life saving care to 190,000 people each year with both ground and air ambulance services. As a joint venture of Ascension Michigan, Henry Ford Health and McLaren Healthcare, Medstar now serves the people in 9 counties including our own Genesee County. Please join us to hear how your life might depend on these services.
August 30, 2022  -  New Member Presentations
Having recently inducted 5 new members into the club we will be taking the opportunity to hear from our new members about themselves and what they hope to get out of their Rotary experiences.
At this meeting we will hear from Stephanie Confer from the Genesee County MTA and Theresa Williams who manages the McLaren Hospitality Center and transferred from the Flint club.
