"Beauty for ashes" is a phrase from Isaiah 61:3, that symbolizes finding hope, joy and restoration in the midst of sorrow and hardship.
This phrase perfectly defines the work that Jocelyn and her group does, to help women on the streets of our community who are in a world of sexual exploitation and abuse. She and her team "meet them where they are", meaning that they provide immediate support whether it be food, warm clothing or just time to take a nap. They also help those women who which to get out of their situation a pathway of support.
While her organization is a 501c(3) charity, by the nature of their work it flies under the radar. Hear her story first hand, it is both moving and inspirational.

In order to keep the club's overhead costs in the black, the board is proposing a $10 per quarter increase in dues, contingent upon club approval at this meeting.
