Sept. 3, 2024 - Governor's Official Visit

Governor Katherine will be stopping by as part of her 62 club visits across our district in Michigan and Ontario. She will be sharing with us information about new Rotary programs which will provide support to our club aimed at helping us better serve our community. She will also be inducting 4 new members, please be there to welcome them to Rotary.
Sept. 10, 2024 - Opioid Addiction and Narcan Training

Did you know that Genesee County ranks 3rd out of 83 counties in Michigan for opioid overdose deaths in Michigan? Opioid overdose can happen anywhere and to anyone, regardless of their race, gender or socioeconomic status.
Candace will discuss how the timely administration of Narcan can save a life and how ordinary citizens can be trained to recognize symptoms and administer the shot.
This week we kick off our student of the month recognition for the school year where we honor two students from each of three high schools in the area, Carman-Ainsworth, Swartz Creek and Powers Catholic for their service to their schools and to their community.
At the end of the year one previous honoree from each school will be selected for Student of the Year and will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
Sept. 24, 2024 - Commit To Fit Challenge

It's time again for the club to put together its team for the challenge and Alaina will be here to talk about how the online signup and reporting process and the rules for club competitions all have been improved.
She will also discuss how the program is much more than an annual competition. It provides year around services to individuals and small businesses to improve fitness and health through an array of services.
