Interact Blanket Project a Success!

As their Christmas project, the Powers High School Interact Club made 55 blankets for the St. Luke's N.E.W. Life Center for homeless and indigent people. Our club funded the purchase of the blanket material, with $500 from our 5 Grand donations plus a $250 match from a Rotary District Grant.

The Interact club, sponsored by our Rotary club, was started in 2011 by Powers teacher Stacy Reynolds who continues to run the program. The club has approximately 100 student members every year and has done many humanitarian projects.
